How to lose five stone

Current weight loss: 71lb / 5 stone

lose five stone

I have managed to lose five stone and 1lb (71lb) in weight and logged thousands of steps. Take a look how i did it and my tips and tricks.

Weight loss is a keystone habit, start going to the gym, introducing exercise into your life and the bad habits start to fade out. The last twelve months have seen me loosing three stone and then putting two back on, since Christmas I have lost a further 4 stone to add up to the current total above ( I refer to this as my current total and not grand total because this story isn’t finished yet). My goal is to loose a few more stone and then maintain this weight through keeping the habits I have now but scaling back on the number of times I exercise and changing my routine from cardio to weight based classes.

As discussed in other posts, a lot of this weight loss has been over a four month period, from January 2017 to April 2017, you can see my weight loss below, shown in stone. I have gone from 18 stone 8 (260lbs) to 15 stone 12 (222lbs).

So, how have to done it?

Set some realistic goals

See the goals i set here, although these did change slightly as the weight started to fall off.

Use the right tools

I have put together a list of all the tools I use here.

Be a part of something

To lose five stone you could try a class, get to know people and above all keep going. To give an example of this, I went on holiday for a few days, all hope seemed to go out of the window and I put on a couple of lbs, you can see this in the chart above, around the start of April i went away on holiday. This fueled me to train harder, and as a result, last week lost 5lb in a week.

Find something you enjoy

Cardio tennis was my reward for getting down to a certain weight, once I hit this weight I started going back to the cardio tennis class. People I knew when I did it earlier in the year couldn’t believe how much weight I had lost and congratulated me on doing so well. Again, this gave me more motivation to continue and train even harder.

Digging deep

Really hard workout at the gym today. I dug deep and ended up burning 1000 calories. On another note..…
