Day three – Small Changes (12 November 2015)
Three days ago I decided to stop paying £3.90 a day on parking and pick up the bike instead!
Destination: 3 miles (or 4 if I go the long way), and of course 3 miles back!
Intensity: Medium
In the last three days I have done 20.55 miles on the bike and have burned nearly 2,500 calories. I monitor this with a simple smartphone application, MapMyRide (http://www.mapmyride.com/). Its simple, Install the app, start a workout and let it do the rest. It will also link in with tools like MyFitnessPal (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/) and update your calories burned for you.
Has this small lifestyle change felt like a massive struggle, NO! Am I burning calories and Saving money, YES!
