With the new year fast approaching and the dreaded christmas just passed (I say dreaded as people always put n christmas weight – its unavoidable with “moms” cooking) people will be feeling like a stuffed turkey.

Even with christmas however, I have managed to loose 9 lbs to date…

Here are a few simple tricks I have used to loose weight this holiday season…

1. Christmas and 1 day either way is a write off, eat what you want, do what you want…. dont deprive yourself…!

2. As soon as the gym opens back up, get back down there! Even 500 calories is better than nothing

3. Remember that 1 beer is around 250 calories, wine around 150 calories ( see link )

Use a calorie counter such as my fitness pal or live strong to ensure you are staying on target 🙂

Lastly, have fun and eat sensibly after the three days you have agreed to write off!
