If you are what you eat – then today I must be a nutella chocolate covered, Belgian waffle! This delightful thing… in all its chocolate … fattening .. glory!
No, don’t worry, my fitness blog hasn’t turned into a food blog! This is a one-off, you are what you eat special!
Today I ate at NandosĀ (my favorite restaurant in on the planet – as anyone who knows me well will tell you) with my family and then took them to a new place in Worcester calledĀ Swirly Joe’s Worcester, where I had the pleasure of devouring the above lovely creation.
I’m sure your thinking .. what a pig…. BUT… In the morning I went to the gym from around 9AM untill 12:30PM, where I watched my little one play tennis and swim. I also played about fifty minutes of tennis doubles (I absolutely love playing tennis, it is such a great sport!). Once we were finished at the gym, we went out to eat and then did about 6 miles of walking (had to burn some of it off somehow!).
The gym had an extra surprise when I weighed myself, loosing another three lbs on last week and now having a new metabolic age of 20 years old! Bearing in mind that I used to have a metabolic age of 46, this is quite the achievement. I have also now managed to get into the standard category, going from Solid build to obese to standard (again, it the little things! Small wins soon turn into big wins!):
All in all, what a fantastic, productive and very tasty day.
The moral of the story of today is to enjoy it! One waffle every six months on the back of a productive day wont do much harm… one waffle a day on the other hand and I would be putting the 79 lbs lost before I know it. Remember you are what you eat.
